Vinnie and I met walking down the aisle paired together as bridesmaid and groomsman for my sister Emily's wedding on May 1, 2021. Vinnie and I instantly hit it off that evening during the reception where he waited to very end of the night to slide into the booth at the hotel bar to ask for my phone number. I gave it to him on the condition that he had one week to take me on a date as I was getting ready to graduate and move out of college. Unbeknownst to him, I was only moving about 10 minutes away from campus to downtown Pittsburgh where we recruited his help after a my father slipped on the day of the wedding and broke his ankle (but that's a story for another day). Vinnie and I spent the rest of summer 2021 getting to know each other and made it official on September 4, 2021 after a big Penn State Victory against Wisconsin. Fast forward 3 amazing years later, Vinnie proposed on July 1, 2024 while on a private horse and carriage ride on Mackinac Island, Michigan.
